About this Deal

I love trying out the latest and greatest anti-aging technologies.  So when Dr. Ozaki of the 5-star rated Westlake Laser & Med Spa invited me to try out the new sublative eMatrix skin resurfacing treatment, I said yes faster than you can say “sun damage.”

So what is eMatrix? eMatrix is a technology that applies energy to the skin in a matrix pattern. New collagen production is promoted as the healthy skin surrounding the matrix rushes in to  “heal” the treated skin. The result: fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars are all reduced and skin texture becomes much more uniform. While 2-3 treatments are recommended depending on the condition of your skin, I noticed that after one treatment, my skin looked a lot smoother so much so that I stopped wearing foundation during the day. (When I go back, I am going to add my chest so that it can match the “youth” of my face!)

And now Westlake Laser & Medical has added another turn-back-the-clock treatment to today’s deal to make it even more “attractive.” When you purchase an eMatrix deal, you will also get a Candela Yag Pro laser skin tightening treatment also known as “The Fountain of Youth.”

Now for your pressing questions.

1) Are you offering a deal? Of course! Normally, these treatments retail for $600. Today on Conejo Deals you may purchase up to three complete face treatments for $199 each. If you would like to add your neck or chest, you may do so at the time of treatment for $50 payable to Westlake Laser & Med Spa for each additional area. The laser treatment appointment should follow the eMatrix treatment appointment by two weeks.

2) Does it hurt? The discomfort of the eMatrix treatment was minimal. Immediately after the treatment, my skin felt extremely warm, but this feeling dissipated in less than thirty minutes.

3) What about the downtime? I was told to allow for a couple of days of “cosmetic” downtime, meaning that I could still do all of my normal activities, but that redness and swelling may prevent me from “social” activities. While everyone responds differently, I felt perfectly comfortable going out for dinner the same evening (I was red, but no more than if I had had too much sun). My skin was also covered with very tiny brown spots for about a week, but they were only visible in a magnifying make-up mirror.  I would recommend scheduling your appointment for a time when you don’t have any important meetings for a couple of days just in case.
